College Tutors is hiring math and reading tutors for grades K-12 for the Supplemental Education Services (SES) programs in Seattle, Skagit Valley, Greater Vancouver-area, and Kitsap Pennisula.  Math tutors for grades 8-12 must be comfortable with Algebra, Algebra 2, Geometry, and possibly Pre-Calculus.  All reading tutors must be comfortable with reading comprehension, fluency, writing, and test taking skills. Tutors must have their own transportation to tutoring location.  Applicants must have excellent communication skills and ability to utilize internet.  
Tutoring sessions are scheduled Monday through Friday starting at 2:00 pm through the evening hours and some remote sessions occur on Saturdays and Sundays.  Applicant must be available a minimum of 6 hours/week.  Hourly pay is based on experience and ranges from $15-$18/hour.  The position begins in late September and ends in early June. 
Tutors must have desire to be a role model and creatively teach to College Tutors’ curriculum. Teaching experience with diverse population and background in second language preferred, but not required. Math experience required for high school program. Our after school tutoring program is well designed and organized, with six years of experience of quality programs within in the state of WA. We seek tutors who will be dedicated to their students and will assist them with the upcoming MSP tests.
