FAQ's

Q. How much does a College Nannies & Tutors franchise cost?
Depending on whether you choose a College Nannies, College Tutors or both, the fees and initial investment will vary. A single business unit license begins with a franchise fee of $25,000 while the combined business model has a franchise fee of $35,000. The estimated initial investment, including the franchise fee, is between $40,000 and $154,000 which is based, in large part, on the whether you decide to operate the business from your home, an executive office or a retail tutoring center. A break down of this investment is located in Item 7 of our Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD). Area development and multi unit franchise opportunities are also available.

Q. What is the term of the franchise agreement?
The initial agreement is for 10 years. After 10 years, there is an option for another 10 years. This information is outlined in the FDD.

Q. How difficult is it to find staff?
As with any business, it is always important to source good staff. Through the techniques and skills acquired in our training programs and the assistance of our proprietary web-based CNeT system, our franchisees find sourcing staff to be relatively straightforward.

Q. Is this a growing industry?
Yes, in most parts of the country child care and education services are growing. In fact, the Small Business Administration recently name both the childcare and education industries in their "Top Ten" categories for growth.

Q. Can I have a protected territory?
Yes, this territory will be outlined in your franchise agreement. Some individuals will have more than one location and may add a tutoring component to the business and this will be defined as well.

Q. Do I need to be an experienced businessperson to run this franchise?
The systems for this franchise were created so that almost any person can run it. Business skills and management skills are a plus, but so is knowledge of the local community as well as a good work ethic and drive to succeed. Hiring supporting staff or utilizing outside professionals with key skills where you have a weakness can always be beneficial.

Q. Can I operate this business from my home?
You can manage some of the business from your home; you must, however, have the ability to conduct staff interviews and other meetings at other locations. Any location must meet all local, state and government regulations related to your business activities.

Q. How long does it take to get started?
From the day you are awarded a franchise, you can be open for business assisting families as soon as your business organization is filed, insurance coverage and required tax id numbers secured and training is scheduled and completed which can take less than two months. We will work with you to best meet your timeline and desire to start your new business.
